Cold process soaps are made with natural oils and produces lather naturally. Lather from most store bought soap comes from detergents. They are harsher on the skin and can strip the skin of moisture.
That is why cold process soap is so fantastic from sensitive skin!
When using cold process soaps be sure to use a soap dish with grooves or a soap sponge so water can drain away from the soap. When natural oil soaps sit in water too long, they become mushy and soft very quickly. If possible, allow to dry out between use.
