It's that time of year again where we think about "battening down the hatches" for winter preparation at our homes and cottages. Ordering and stacking wood for our wood stoves and fireplaces, changing regular sheets for flannel, adding an extra blanket to the bed or putting a cozy throw over the arm of your couch to grab on a chilly day.
As we make these changes in our homes, I'm also thinking about new recipes for my fall & winter soaps with deeper, richer colours and warmer scents that evoke feelings of comfort. It's all about embracing the changing seasons and the challenges they bring. This year has been exceptionally challenging so we all need to take a moment every day to just breath, soak in a tub, take a few minutes to read or go for a walk. Try and take a moment every day to relax, put up your feet and enjoy one of your favourite things.
Pay attention to what really matters, your family, your friends, your co-workers and those who serve us everyday in some manner. Be mindful, be grateful, and don't forget your furry friends who love to cuddle as much as we do!
